The photograph features a six-year-old child named Bill, originally from Cameroon. At the age of three, he relocated with his parents to Larnaca, Cyprus, as they sought improved opportunities and a better future. Recently, Bill’s mother gave birth to another son in Larnaca, further establishing their growing family in their new home.

ABOUT

Semeli is a film maker and photographer based in Athens, Greece. Her work has been screened around the world such as at Raindance Film Festival in London where she proudly represented her country, Cyprus. She was awarded Best Director at the International Short Film Festival Cyprus and Best Photographer at the Dance Film Festival Cyprus. She was also recently awarded as Best New Blood at the D&DA Awards in the UK for her exceptional portfolio. In her photography she has worked with Greek, Cypriot and UK fashion brands.
